It softens the brilliant fall foliage and ties it to the foreground elements. The off center placement of the solitary tree and the subtle tonal gradations from the foreground
greenery to the mist softened autumn colors create a pleasing composition that leads
the viewer through the scene. One senses the intimacy of this special place.
