How
to order Collages & Composites Online:
1.)
Choosing a Collage/Composite Size
There are several sizes of composites available from DT
Studios.
- 8x10"
size: This size is the best size for composites
of 5 or fewer images. It allows each image
to be large enough to be seen from a few feet away.
Any more than 5 would cause each image to be smaller
in order to fit on the page. Personalized text can
be added.
- 11x14"
size: This size is the best size for composites
of 7 or fewer images. It allows each image
to be large enough to be seen from a few feet away.
Any more than 7 would cause each image to be smaller
in order to fit on the page. Personalized text can
be added.
- 12x18"
size: This size is the best size for composites
of 9 or fewer images. It allows each image
to be large enough to be seen from a few feet away.
Any more than 9 would cause each image to be smaller
in order to fit on the page. Personalized text can
be added.
- 13x19"
size: This is a custom, non-standard size. It
is a good choice if you would like an 8 to 9 image
pitching sequence collage. It allows a little
more space so the images can be larger and seen from
a comfortable distance. It also allows a little extra
room for personalized text to be comfortably added
to the composite.
- 16x20"
size: This size is the best size for composites
of 12 or fewer images. It allows each image
to be large enough to be seen from a few feet away.
Any more than 12 would cause each image to be smaller
in order to fit on the page. It also allows a little
extra room for personalized text to be comfortably
added to the composite.
- 16x20"
size: 20 or fewer images. This size combined
with the number of images (20) allows each image to
be large enough to be seen from a closer distance
(normal reading distance). More than 20 images would
cause each image to be smaller in order to fit on
the page. There is still enough room for personalized
text to be added to the composite. More than 20 images
can be put on this size print. But keep in mind the
more images you add, the smaller they would have to
be in order to fit. Please note: There may be an additional
charge for more than 20 images. Please call for more
information.

Choosing Images for your Collage/Composite
As
you are browsing the event photos, it may help to keep
a paper and pencil handy to jot down the image numbers
of the photos you wish to consider for your collage.
To
find the 'Image Number' of a photo:
-
Find your event on our site and open the folder by
clicking on your team/event name.
- Select
a thumbnail sized image. This will bring up a larger
version of the photo.
- Beneith
the photo you will see the image number.
3.)
Ordering your Collage/Composite Online
- Once
you have found the images for your composite, go to
the image that you would choose as the 'Primary'
image in the composite. This is the image you
would like to appear largest in the composite.
- Click
on the thumbnail of the primary image, in order to
bring up the large sized view of the photo. From the
product drop-down list (on the right side of
the page), in the list of available products, you
will see the composite choices listed. Select one
of the size options and click 'add to shopping cart.'
- After
that has been done, it's time to add the other images
to the composite. To do so, locate the other images
and using the product drop-down list select
'Collage Image', then add the remaining images
to the shopping cart. Doing so will add the photos
to the shopping cart as secondary collage images (at
no additional charge). Repeat the above process for
a second collage if necessary.
- Once
you have gone to the 'Checkout' page, you will
be brought to a page that includes a 'Comments
or Instructions' window, it is inside this window
that you will include any other information you would
like to add. If you would like custom text of any
kind please include it here.
Items you may wish to include in the comments box
are:
- Athletes
name, position and jersey number.
- Team
name as it would appear on the composite.
- Special
instructions as to the arrangement of the collage.
- Special
Color requests.
- The
Event name.

Collage/Composite Design
Once
you have sent your composite order, I will design it with
your requests in mind. If you don't have any special instructions
don't worry, I will design your composite as if it were
my own (In addition to photography, I also have a great
deal of education and experience as an artist and graphic
designer).
I
will send (e-mail) you a preliminary proof of the design
(prior to printing and shipping). That way there will
be no doubt that you will get exactly what you want.
If
you have any questions, don't hesitate to call me (Dave)
at (315)-452-1456. I will be happy to help you in any
way I can.
